A sanguine melancholic perfectionist, who entered the wonderful world of parenting with an extensive list of notions, ideals and unrealistic expectations.
With my "job description" at hand I had in fact set myself up for failure long before I even embarked on the epic journey of conceiving, carrying, delivering, loving, nurturing, and guiding through life not one, but three unique human beings.
Of course it is only now (7 years into this parenting adventure) as I continue to fall short in attaining the perfection I once sought after, that I admit defeat and begin to yield to the concept of life as an Imperfect Mum.
It's going to be a long trek from the pursuit of perfection and excellence to embracing imperfection with all it's flaws and limitations, shortcomings and weakness, but... it just may be worth it!
So that's me, doing this thing, one imperfect step at a time.
